Balthier

Oh, how do I let myself get talked into this stuff? Well, I told that I'd show him one of my early Balthier drawings if he'd show me something of his, and thus my doom was sealed, for I am nothing if not a woman of my word!

Well, usually. I'm very forgetful. Surely forgetfulness isn't considered a dealbreaker? It IS? ... damn.

Anyway! Different, no? Done all in Photoshop, instead of right on paper as per my usual style. Oddly enough, I use this style most often when I am feeling out a new character, because it's.. I don't know, forgiving, sorta? If you care enough to look carefully (and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to look at this junque any longer than you had to), you'll see the little giveaways that it shares with my pencil art - the way I shape my lines, and shade with rough, hard-edged 'blocks' more often than smooth shadings.

My original file on this was dated 2.12.07; sounds about right. I think I've gotten better at drawing Balthier!
